Weight loss and technology

If there's one thing I can't get enough of its a new tech toy! So thanks to to some urging on my hubby's part I bought my first pair of $100 sneakers, Nike Experience, (can you believe that was a sale price!?!?!) and at my urging he got me a brand new shiny iPod Touch! So why would I spend $100 dollars on a pair of shoes, and sneakers at that no less, you ask? Because they sync up with my iPod of course! Yes ladies and gentlemen I have electronics in my shoes and it is my new plan for getting rid of this weight(no longer baby weight because and my "babies" are 3 & 4 now) and having fun playing with my new toy all in one.

So this is how it works, you get the pretty shoes, you also purchase the sensor too and put it in the left shoe and if you have a nano you put the receiver in the nano (don't need it for the Touch 2nd Generation) and the fun begins. Load up some tunes, whatever makes you happy and keeps you going, and then go for a walk or a run and then you get to play with the website!! Plug in your iPod like you're charging it, iTunes pops up and then lets you know it's uploaded your data to the Nike+ website (that is if you've registered before hand. If not I believe it asks you to log in or register first) and then you go to the website and see what you've accomplished and start setting goals.
The reason I started this thread is because I did all of this fun stuff... but I didn't follow through and I believe the best motivation is public humiliation and partnering up with others. So starting April 2nd, I'm setting a goal for a certain number of miles to walk / jog this month but I need your help deciding what thats going to be because I'd like you to join me. As an avid PhillyD.tv fan,(if you don't know you should be ashamed of yourself!) I know he's working on losing 20 lbs in like a month or so but I know that I cannot realistically do that, or at least I wont hold myself to that kind of pressure, but I want to join him in getting healthy as well, so I'm looking for about 15lbs by May 1st. So here is a picture of myself from my honeymoon(the humiliation part) in a swimsuit no less, this is my starting point and I will post a new picture on May 1st. To track my actual weight I'm going to be using the tools on
